Terms of Service
The Anomaly Record · theanomalyrecord.com
These Terms govern your use of the website at theanomalyrecord.com and of the Anomaly Record Editorial Publisher, our internal publishing tool. By using either, you accept these Terms.
1. What we provide
The Anomaly Record publishes documentary video about material that has entered the public record concerning unidentified anomalous phenomena. This website presents information about the channel and our editorial method. The Editorial Publisher is an internal tool restricted to our own editorial team; it is not a public service and no right of access to it is granted by these Terms.
2. Editorial nature of our content
Our episodes separate reported material from our own interpretation, and every episode marks which is which. Sections labelled as our interpretation are opinion, not assertions of fact. Nothing we publish is professional, legal, medical, financial or governmental advice, and our narrator does not represent any agency or claim any official credential.
We publish corrections. If you believe we have misread a source, quote the passage to us and we will review it and, where we were wrong, correct it publicly.
3. YouTube API Services
The Editorial Publisher uses YouTube API Services. By using our services you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Information collected through these services is handled as described in our Privacy Policy and in the Google Privacy Policy. You may revoke our access to your Google Account at any time at security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google.
4. Intellectual property
Our scripts, narration, editing, graphics and the arrangement of material in our episodes are our own work and are protected by copyright. Archival material we present is, wherever indicated, in the public domain or licensed for our use; the underlying rights in that material remain with their respective holders. Government material appears without any claim of endorsement by any agency, official or employee, and any government insignia, seals or logos remain the property of their owners and are not licensed by us to anyone.
You may quote and reference our work with attribution and a link. You may not republish full episodes or substantial portions of them as your own.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Editorial Publisher or to any of our systems.
- Do not scrape, overload or interfere with this website.
- Do not misrepresent our content, including by presenting our labelled interpretation as though it were established fact.
6. Third-party links
We link to primary sources, including government websites, archives and news outlets. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
This website and our content are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We take care to represent sources accurately but do not warrant that all content is free of error. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or reliance on our content.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms. The current version is always the one published on this page, with the date shown at the top. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
